What is Fascia?

“Fascia is the map of our physical history - a living blueprint that guides movement and holds our story within every. fiber” - Thomas Myers

Our fascia is a web of connective tissue that encompasses our entire body. It surrounds and supports the body's organs, muscles, bones, and nerves. It helps the body move and function by transmitting force, absorbing shock, and communicating between systems.

It’s electric! Our fascia uses electrical signals and it is constantly delivering messages that stimulate our cells, responses, emotions and influences how our muscles and nerves function. These signs help us perceive our environment, coordinate our movement and also play a role in our emotional state. Ultimately, our fascia is helps determine how our nervous system responds to stimuli. Think of it as a bridge of the physical body to the energetic body.
